When we take an L

-6.5 buy-in session
4hrs played
no money to be made
so now what, we review the hands tomorrow that we clearly messed up on and then the ones that we did everything right and just was on the wrong side of variance
what we can take from this session is that WE CAN PLAY long sessions
like we just proved to ourselves that we can lock in for 4hrs and play and get in volume
no excuses now we must replicate this, idc if we lost if we stick to our strategy not get emotional with how our opponents are playing WE WILL WIN
we cannot get down, we cannot tilt so bad we want to give ourselves a concussion because we cant just follow the script
Patience, dislpline, and consistency and just trust the fucking strategy its made millionaires before because they trusted the strategy and got better on top of it
its that easy, this is a noise session that makes it all click
i bet next session we play we'll be even better than we were today
we just messed up made some mistakes plus variance
first hand i look at AJs 3bet pot, we have a FD, and TP they cbet big we just shove, they have a set that holds
second hand we have 2pair vs a straight that we could've found a fold
third hand we find ourselves with another 2pair vs a straight and its a clear fold because of bet sizing and they checked raised on the flop
i say all this to recap WE MADE HUGE mistakes that IF we didn't we would've of made money tonight, we have 3 hands clearly that we could've found a fold if we weren't so idk focused on the wrong thing? letting emotions get in the way of a data driven strategy that has made proven winners
the second we just say fuck it and consistently apply the strategy no matter what feelings or emotions or whatever is the second we start climbing even higher, maybe this session was ALL variance and maybe we aren't doing wrong but i don't think that's the case
honestly I might not even review I might just get up and just play a session as soon as a wake up.
why?
because man its NL2 and if we cant consistently apply our strategy vs these players that have leaks everywhere well we have a big fucking problem
I don't think we do though i just idk we just think of stupid shit while we are in hand, should be how aggressive are they, what line is it, what do we do and that's it
if anything aggression + uncertainty = fold
i don't really feel better venting all of this, the bankroll was rolling we hit the 105$ mark and BAM fucking -6.5 buy-ins session to make sure we know we are fucking in the slums of this poker world, playing NL2 to build up a bankroll and content smh FUCK I'm frustrated i lost that many buy-ins that fucking bad just terrible plays that if we idk slow down? THINK we would come up with the right play but idk instead we are venting in a blog I'm not sure anyone will ever see
Brightside is this blog could be seen as the breaking point where we surrender to the data and the strategy and just really lock it in
maybe we will look back once we are at NL200 streaming pro that's selling merchandise off of this website and reread this blog when a -6.5 buy-in session caused us to question why we cant play our strategy that others have played and used to make millions
this has to be it, we wake up tomorrow just with the renewed vigor(?) to play towards our strategy, to not let game emotions or weird player vibes we put in our head convolute what the data has shown us
idk still not sure if the vent journal helped just a couple months ago we were playing NL10 making way more and idk we just keep going i guess and the volume will lead us to money BUT ONLY IF WE PLAY the right way!
idk how to end this entry I'm feeling dejected for some reason when i should be happy i played 4hrs for once to prove that we can do it
now tomorrow we'll play 2 hours, then 4hours in the evening
we got to keep putting in more volume and attack our mistakes with intensity that we wont commit them anymore
just stay the course and keep putting in work
